Resources for Users in Australia
Salams is committed to creating a safer online environment for all users. Below you'll find information about how we handle harmful content, how to report safety concerns, and where to find additional safety tools and support.
The eSafety Commissioner
The eSafety Commissioner is an independent government agency that promotes online safety and protects Australians from harmful content and online abuse. The Commissioner offers a range of resources to help people stay safe online. These include:
- Educational programs and guides for parents, teachers, and kids on how to handle issues like cyberbullying, online privacy, and gaming safety.
- Reporting tools that enable people to report cyberbullying, image-based abuse, or illegal content so that it can be removed from the internet.
- Online safety tips and advice on how to manage your digital footprint, secure your accounts, and avoid scams.
- Support services for those experiencing online abuse, including guidance on how to get help and protect yourself from further harm.
To access these resources or report harmful content, visit the eSafety Commissioner’s website.
Complaints
Under Australia’s Online Safety Act, online services must comply with certain industry codes and standards. If you are in Australia and believe Salams hasn’t met its obligations, you can make a complaint to the eSafety Commissioner.
